History of the World Part I

Part one from the Dawn of Man to about 400 BC, Next Section Starts with the Romans...

Here is the first section of notes I took in my Freshman high school year for Early Civilization class.  The Early Civ. Notes end at Section 1 of Chapter 10 with the fall of the Holy Roman Empire.

Chapter 1: Early Humans Prehistory- 3000 BC
Click the link for Sciences view on Pre-history ALL THEORY, NOT PROVEN
I DON'T AGREE WITH THIS THEORY OF MAN'S ORIGINS EITHER this page isn't as good as most of them, not very detailed, it was the first chapter of the book, so I wasn't really used at taking notes at the beginning of the year.

Ch. 2 The First Civilizations 3500- 1600 BC
Click here for information on the first civilizations in the world! (3500-1600 BC) Included are ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Babylon, Canaan, the Indus Valley, and many more.

Ch. 3 Phoenecians to Persians (not actual chapter name)
Click this link to go to a page about the many civilizations after Sumeria, Babylon and all the first nations.  Here the Phoenecians, Jews, and Persians make themselves known in history up to the rise of the Greek Civilization around 1500 BC.

Ch. 4 Rise of the Greek Civilization
Click on the link below to learn about the great Greek Civilization on the Mediterannean Sea.  See how the trading routes they used after the Phoenecians example made them grow to be one of the most powerful forces in their time.
