So, you say that the christian God is not necessarily the true god, but one exists? This reasoning makes no sense
to me, so I will hopefully show you here why Christianity is the most likely religion to be true, through the ressurection.
1.) Fact: If anything in the gospels wasn't true, the people wouldn't have accepted it as true during the time
or the government officials and pharisees would have shown it to be untrue, because Jesus did threaten their positions.
This would've eliminated Christianity immediately. But instead, many people it seems believed that Christ did do the
many miracles and rose from the dead.
2.) Fact: The tomb of Christ would've had the highest security around it, because there's no way the Governor of
Judea and the Emperor would have wanted the prophecy of Jesus rising again to happen. In the Bible, it even says they
secured it so the people couldn't steal the body to make it look like he rose from the dead. The highest security would've
been a group of 16 soldiers who were each trained for five years in front of the tomb. Now lets just say all the disciples
came, and even some of there friends; There's no way a bunch of fishermen and taxcollectors could take on 16 professional
soldiers. But even then, lets say they were all sleeping. Then the people would have to move a two ton rock down
a trench without waking them up. Not likely to happen.
3.) People who say that when Jesus took the vinegar on the cross, he got a drug that made him appear to be dead,
but really wasn't have NO BRAIN AT ALL. Basically what they're saying is that a man who was severely beaten, was hanging
on a cross for six hours and hadn't had anything to eat or drink for three days moved that two ton rock across the trench
from the inside! Then somehow beat up all 16 of the soldiers or escaped from them.
If there are any other major or minor theories about Jesus resurrection other than that he really rose from the dead
showing his power as God, please email them to me at religioushistory@hotmail.com
