Before we show how to attain salvation, lets show what we need salvation from.
Romans 3:23 All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
James 1:14-15 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then when
this desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin when it is full grown, brings forth death.
So, we need to be saved from death; not physical death, but spiritual death and the second death which is talked about
in Revelation as being thrown into the lake of fire, which is hell.
So, now that we know what we need to be saved from, how do we attain salvation?
Well, first we would have to understand the above explanation of our current condition with sin, and that the punishment
for it is sin.
Now, because God is just, someone must pay the price for the sins people have commited, but who? Jesus Christ was
the only blameless person ever to exist, and he died, right? So he is the sacrifice put in our place, so that we wouldn't
have to go through the second death.
The only thing you need to do is acknowlege he is the savior, trust in him, accept his gift of salvation from hell, and
then FOLLOW HIM AND HIS COMMANDMENTS, most importantly loving God and your neighbor.
